Sadiq Khan vigorously defended terrorists in the past and he is still doing that to this very day as Mayor of London.
Sadiq Khan lashed out at President Trump earlier for criticizing his ridiculous response to the recent London terror attacks. Khan didn’t even mention Islam. He showed more enthusiasm while defending those terrorists than defending Londoners!
A clip resurfaced from 2002 that shows then Lawyer, Muslim Sadiq Khan, defending convicted Islamic terrorists who attempted to revive the Islamic Liberation Party in Egypt.
The video, via Josh Caplan of Vessel News, shows Khan defending terrorists. At the beginning of the video, Muslims in the street shout “Allahu Akbar!”:
“There is no evidence at all against the three British men, the only evidence against them is these confessions. We now have unequivocal proof that the confessions were obtained under duress and under torture – as there is no evidence against the men, the men need to be released straight away and sent back home to their families.
The Egyptian government and the state prosecutor have made a terrible mistake. They can correct that mistake by releasing the men now . . . What we’re concerned about is they’re compounding their mistake by continuing to detain them and having this farce of a trial, this is in breech of Egyptian’s [sic] own very important law, it has a proud history of being the custodians of law and justice . . .”

The following is an excerpt from a Chicago Tribune article at the end of the video:
An Egyptian court on Thursday convicted 26 people, including three Britons, of trying to revive an outlawed Islamic group and sentenced them to up to 5 years in prison.
The three Britons–Ian Malcolm Nisbett, Maajid Nawaz and Reza Pankhurst–were each sentenced to 5 years. One of the 26 was convicted in absentia.
The defendants, first arrested in April 2002, were accused of attempting to revive Hizb-ut-Tahrir, or Islamic Liberation Party, which was banned by the government after an alleged failed coup in 1974.
Lawyers for the defendants said the group was only studying the ideologies of the Islamic Liberation Party and not recruiting others to follow its thinking.
Also, BBC wrote an article in 2002 documenting Sadiq Khan defending the convicted terrorists:
The lawyer representing three Britons accused of promoting an illegal Islamic group in Egypt has attacked the prosecution case against them as “trivial” and “irrelevant”.
Sadiq Khan, representing Ian Nisbet, Reza Pankhurst and Maajid Nawaz, said books included in the evidence could all be found in public libraries.
The defendants are accused of promoting the goals of Hizb-ut-Tahrir or the Islamic Liberation Party – a group which is banned in many Middle Eastern countries.
But Mr Khan said: “So far the evidence against them has been trivial and irrelevant.”
