WhatsAppPresident Donald Trump blasted Tom Steyer over Twitter Friday morning, calling the billionaire environmentalist “wacky and totally unhinged.”
Steyer launched a $10 million national ad campaign calling for Trump’s impeachment. He’s bought up TV spots to run a 60-second commercial.
Steyer’s ad accuses Trump of bringing the U.S. “to the brink of nuclear war” with North Korea, “obstructing justice” by firing James Comey, and “violating the Constitution by taking money from foreign governments and threatening to shut down news organizations that report the truth.”
“I’m Tom Steyer, and like you, I’m a citizen who knows it’s up to us to do something. It’s why I’m funding this effort to raise our voices together and demand that elected officials take a stand on impeachment,” Steyer continues in the ad.
He also says a past GOP-led Congress impeached former President Bill Clinton for far less — sleeping with a White House intern.
