BREAKING – McConnell Delays Healthcare Vote

BREAKING – McConnell Delays Healthcare Vote

Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced Saturday evening that the Senate GOP Obamacare repeal vote will be delayed until a later date.

The Hill reported:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Saturday night that the vote on Senate Republicans ObamaCare repeal and replace bill would be delayed until a later date.

His statement did not say when a vote would take place, but only that consideration of the Better Care act would be deferred while Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) recovers from surgery he underwent this Friday.

This is a breaking story. TGP will update as more information becomes available.

As TGP previously reported, the Republicans have been taking their sweet time in repealing the disaster known as Obamacare.

Speaker Paul Ryan dragged his feet back in May when he said he would send the House healthcare overhaul bill to the US Senate in a ‘couple of weeks’.

Ryan wouldn’t release the bill until the CBO report came out. Republican lawmakers do not only live in fear of the liberal media but also from CBO reports.

The CBO is frequently off base with their reporting.

The Republicans have had 8 years to come up with a healthcare plan. Obamacare is crushing the middle class with outrageous deductibles, higher co-pays and less coverage. Perhaps if the politicians were subjected to the same laws they force onto the American people, they wouldn’t be moving so slowly.
