Reporter Gretchen Rachel Hammond admitted on Twitter that exposing the ban on Jews from the Chicago Dyke March last month caused her to lose her job after public and media inquiries.
Hammond, of the Windy City Times, noted her demotion was due to the outcry and public condemnation she experienced at the hands of the Chicago Dyke March.
Monday, Hammond responded to the Chicago Dyke March Twitter account that posted the following commentary:

Sorry y’all! Definitely didn’t know the violent history of the term. We meant Zionist/white tears replenish our electrolytes

Hammond responded:
You attacked, humiliated and robbed me of a job. No tears. I forgive you. Just hope you learn how destructive and pointless hatred is.

I will not comment on any decision made by my present employer or impugn the organization. The DMC threatened me then bragged about it.

Breitbart’s Charlie Nash reports:
The flags, which featured the Star of David over the LGBT rainbow, allegedly “made people feel unsafe,” and upset attendees who claimed that the march was “anti-Zionist,” and “pro-Palestinian,” prompting organizers to banish the Jews from the march.
The Chicago Dyke March defended their actions in a post following the incident, where they solidified their “anti-Zionist” position and used an anti-Semitic term.
The March’s actions were condemned by numerous Jewish groups, individuals, and civil rights groups, including the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee, and A Wider Bridge, who described the incident as “heinous.”
