Scaramucci fired off a mini tweetstorm Wednesday evening attacking The New Yorker reporter who outed his private conversation which ultimately led to his firing, “Ryan Lizza is the Linda Tripp of 2017. People know. And he is up at night not being able to live with himself,” Scaramucci said in the first tweet.

Scaramucci was referring to Linda Tripp who violated privacy by secretly recording Bill Clinton’s mistress and White House intern, Monica Lewinsky back in the 90’s. The recorded conversations with Monica Lewinsky snowballed into a huge controversy and ultimately led to Lewinsky and Bill Clinton appearing before a Washington D.C. grand jury.

In the second tweet, Scaramucci confirmed that Ryan Lizza ‘absolutely taped the call without my permission’ and called him a lowlife.
